This was a modeling class project with the theme of making a toy car by using 3D printing technology. I wanted to build a real car by using Tamiya’s Chassis. I decided to make a street version of Dodge Challanger.
DEVELOPMENT
I made rough sketches and refined it by using Adobe Photoshop. I added some new parts design to the car such as Front splitter, Rear ducktail, and Over fender.
I used Rhinoceros 3D program to make the 3D model by using rough sketches guide line. After the 3D model was done, I rendered it by using V-ray. For the chassis, I used TZ - Type, and also made some modifications on it that is shown by the red lines to be cut into pieces, then be filled with body fillers and hand sanded to flatten it. After the preparation was ready, I painted the dummy concept with bright orange to make it eye - catchy.
